Personal year calculator: your number for any year

Your personal year number adds your birth month and day to the current calendar year and reduces the total to a single digit from 1 to 9. Someone born June 15 is in personal year 4 during 2026. The calculator shows the arithmetic and a nine-year table for planning when to start.

Which personal year are you in?

Only your birth date is needed. It is calculated on this device and never sent or stored.

How is a personal year number calculated?

Reduce your birth month and birth day to single digits, reduce the calendar year (2026 → 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10 → 1), add the three and reduce to a single digit from 1 to 9. Example: born June 15, in 2026: 6 + 6 + 1 = 13 → 4. The cycle runs 1 to 9 and repeats; most numerologists count the year from January 1, while some start it on your birthday.

People use the cycle as a planning prompt: a 1 year is traditionally read as a time to start, a 9 year as a time to finish and clear. That is a reflective convention, not a forecast. See all numerology guides, your life path number and the other calculators.

How we calculate

Is astrology a guarantee of what will happen?

No. These calculations locate celestial bodies; astrology is a reflection and timing tradition, not evidence of guaranteed health, financial or relationship outcomes.

How are these results calculated?

Positions come from Astronomy Engine, an open-source astronomy library, and are checked against Swiss Ephemeris in our methodology tests. Western readings use the tropical zodiac; Vedic readings subtract the Lahiri ayanamsa. Terms are defined in the glossary.
