Vision board

Vision board: make a goal visible and practical

A vision board is a collection of images and words about goals you want to explore. Make yours useful by adding a next action, a real constraint and a review date to each idea. It can remind you what matters; it does not establish that visualizing an outcome will make it happen.

How do you make a vision board?

Choose a few goals you can give attention to, then attach an action to each image. Use your own photographs or images you have permission to use.

  1. Pick one area of life rather than every possible future.
  2. Write what the image means in ordinary words.
  3. Add a constraint, such as available time or cost.
  4. Choose a next action and a date to review it.

What to put on vision board?

Include the steps as well as the destination. A photograph of a studio tells you less about tomorrow than a note saying when you will make your first sketch.

Pham and Taylor studied process rehearsal before an exam, not vision boards; their findings support attention to the steps in that setting, not a claim that a collage attracts outcomes.[10]

Common questions

Does a vision board have to be digital?

No. Paper, a notes app or a simple document works.

Can I change my board?

Yes. Remove a goal that no longer fits and keep a record of why you changed it.

Does pinning a date guarantee the goal?

No. The date belongs to an action or review you control, not an outcome.

How we calculate

Is astrology a guarantee of what will happen?

No. These calculations locate celestial bodies; astrology is a reflection and timing tradition, not evidence of guaranteed health, financial or relationship outcomes.

How are these results calculated?

Positions come from Astronomy Engine, an open-source astronomy library, and are checked against Swiss Ephemeris in our methodology tests. Western readings use the tropical zodiac; Vedic readings subtract the Lahiri ayanamsa. Terms are defined in the glossary.
