How to find your numerology numbers?

Most people start with two numbers. The life path comes from the full birth date and does not change. The personal year comes from your birthday plus the current year and changes every January on this site's convention. For timing questions, the personal year is the one to use.

Personal year formula: birth month + birth day + current calendar year, with each digit added, reduced to 1-9.

A worked example, with an invented birthday of October 9, in 2027:

1. Month 10 gives 1 + 0.
2. Day 9 gives 9.
3. Year 2027 gives 2 + 0 + 2 + 7.
4. Add everything: 1 + 0 + 9 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 21.
5. Reduce: 2 + 1 = 3.

Calendar year or birthday year?

This page uses January 1 to December 31. Other practitioners switch years on your birthday. Under that method, the October 9 person would stay in personal year 2 (their 2026 number) until October 9, 2027, which moves most of the year 3 reading into 2028. Both methods are in use, and neither can be tested against the other.

What personal year 3 is linked with

Numerology reads 3 as expression and output, so year 3 is usually described as the year when work done quietly in years 1 and 2 gets shown. Social life, creative projects, writing and speaking come up a lot in descriptions of it. So does a warning about spreading yourself thin.
