Two backpacks by the door, a vague plan, and a lot of confidence. That's the stock image of this pairing, and for once the stereotype has some truth in it.
Where it tends to flow
Aries, ruled by Mars, wants action. Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, wants experience and meaning. Both are honest to a fault, so there's little guessing about where anyone stands. They're quick to laugh, quick to forgive, and happiest when there's something new on the calendar. As friends or siblings they often push each other to try things neither would do alone.
