Purva Phalguni nakshatra: Bhaga, Venus and rest
Purva Phalguni (Pūrva Phalgunī) is the eleventh nakshatra, from 13°20' to 26°40' of sidereal Leo. Its deity is Bhaga, the Vedic god of a fair share and good fortune, and its Vimshottari lord is Venus. The symbol is commonly given as the front legs of a bed or a hammock. Classical muhurta calls it ugra, or fierce.

Purva Phalguni is a mismatch on paper. Its deity looks after good fortune, its planet is Venus, its symbol is a bed, and yet the classical muhurta text files it under "fierce." I find the tension more useful than either side alone.

Bhaga, the god of the share
The Bṛhat Saṃhitā gives Bhaga as Pūrva Phalgunī's deity.[32] Bhaga is one of the Ādityas, and his name means "portion" or "share": the part of good things that comes to you. He is linked with marriage, pleasure and prosperity. The bed in modern symbol lists continues the idea: rest after effort, the comfort that you have a right to.

Muhurta uses
Bṛhat Saṃhitā lists the three Pūrvas with Bharaṇī and Maghā as ugra (fierce), suited in its words to destruction, ruin, deceit, binding, poison, burning and striking with weapons.[32] I would not soften that, and this site does not suggest harmful acts. Modern muhurta practice tends to use fierce days for endings and clearing, and for Purva Phalguni that might be ending a habit that has become a comfort trap. Practical deadlines come first.

Yes. Pubba is the usual Telugu name and Pooram the Tamil and Malayalam name for the same nakshatra.
Who is the lord of Purva Phalguni?
Venus, in the Vimshottari dasha scheme. Bharani and Purva Ashadha share that lord.
Why is a pleasant nakshatra classed as fierce?
Bṛhat Saṃhitā puts all three Pūrva nakshatras in the ugra class as a group. The class is a muhurta label for choosing times, not a description of people born then.
